US ARMY 82ND AND 101ST AIRBORNE DIVISIONS - WHAT’S THE DIFFERENCE?
@HunDriverWidow well, you probably know the answer already, however, the 101st no longer engages in division wide parachute readiness and have become a mostly helicopter based calvary division. Whereas, the 82nd is a division of mostly paratroopers that, by US Army standards, are at a very high level of training and readiness to be deployed anywhere on the planet within 18 hours of the president's orders.
