In 3 weeks I'm moving over to another office within my current agency on a detail assignment. I would no longer work as an auditor, but in Policy. I can apply for this as a permanent job.

My director said that I'll have to travel for work as an auditor, and he can't make exceptions. He suggested that I stay in Policy.

I can't leave my mom in the care of my youngest son while I travel for work, nor can I leave my son in the care of my mom, since her stroke. So why am I struggling with this?
