@MMA@freeatlantis.comMy mom is safely with the Lord. She slipped away peacefully this morning around 9 am. I stayed with her until the morning, holding her hand, kissing her forehead, and softly touching her to soothe her. We listened to praise music all through the night.
I thought I did not have the courage to be with mom when she died, but the Lord came through and He gave me the strength.
When I realized mom was gone, I went to hallway to ask the nurses to help. Two of the nurses went into the room to check. And at that moment, all that strength left me.
They closed the door, and I put my hands over my ears like a child because I didn't want to hear them calling my mom and her not answering. When they came out of the room, one of them went to the linen cart and pulled out two sheets, and I knew why and I burst into tears.
I am so glad I was with my mom.
Glad she is Home.
My prayers are with you my friend.
My condolences to you and your family, my dear friend. When the last days with a relative aren't simple, the moment of passing evokes many strong and contradicting emotions together.
Everything you may feel now makes complete sense, somehow.

I am so sorry for your loss, friend.
You did the best thing by being with your mom as she passed from this life into her eternal home.
She was there when you passed into this life - you were there for her at the end.
This is the way.
@MMA So sad for you, and happy you were there. Sending you and your family lots of love during your time of grief and a celebration of her life, where you played such a large part in. 
I’m so sorry for your loss, hon. You were surely a tremendous comfort to her in her final days, and a great joy for her over the years. May your precious memories, and knowing she is safe in the arms of Jesus, soothe your broken heart.
