@Phil@freeatlantis.com@CDuBois I enjoyed reading this. My grandmother's house was an escape haven for me As well. I never got any welts or bruises there, nor was a berated. She had an apple green glider and rockers on her porch. The first thing I did when we moved I to this house with a wrap around porch was to buy a glider and some rockers for it. Even now, over 50 years later, I still feel the peaceful calm when I sit in them.
