@TXPatriot2021 @TXHolly Greg Abbott is running for a 4th term. Thoughts? I think he's overstaying his welcome, not that he stands a chance of losing in the general election.
If a proven MAGA type candidate were to run, they would get my vote.
Texas politics is very corrupt and Abbott at least does the right thing 60% of the time, but I just haven't seen anyone else yet that I would consider.
So right now, it's Abbott for me.

@TXPatriot2021 Unfortunately, he's running for re-election for Lt. Governor.
Sometimes, I get the idea that Abbott is running for re-election explicitly to keep Patrick out of the mansion, because if Dan ran, he would win, so Abbott is keeping the seat occupied for the Bushites so he can run the clock down.

I have been so focused on taking care of my aunt and trying to keep up with work, that I am not up to speed about Texas politics.
Other than realizing that we are not as red as we once thought we were.
@TXPatriot2021 Few States in the US are truly red in policy because it's not what the corporations and the big donors want, and they're the ones who run the show.
