I find it amazing how unwilling people are to accept that current "#AI" tech (including the "LLM" tech that I call #MOLE Training) is not intelligent, by any meaningful definition of the word. The nonsense arguments they use to wriggle out of this conclusion are nothing if not creative.
Most common is the consensus reality wriggle; more people talk as if they think Trained MOLEs are intelligent, therefore they are. So if most people think perpetual energy is possible, then it is? Nope.

Meta AI appeared in WhatsApp on my phone yesterday. I asked it how to turn disable Meta AI. After a bit of to-and-fro it listed the steps to take.
It was wrong. The toggle that it described doesn't exist. There isn't currently a way to remove Meta AI from WhatsApp.
I asked GPT why search engine results are so awful since it and other LLMs became popular with the ruling class. Either it told me what I want to hear, or I'm not the free software lunatic I'm made out to be.
I'd like to post the whole thing, but GPT is extremely verbose for how little it actually says. I hope that my paraphrasing (denoted by brackets) is clear enough.
This will be a thread so I'll make my replies unlisted.

I didn't expect this to be the means through which #AI would take over the world.

@lucy #JohnWick5 being a thing is worse for art and pop culture than #AI, and arguably a symptom of the same reason why people like it so much

The Data Bill strips back your right to human review of automated decisions that have life-changing impacts.
It flips the script, forcing you to prove a mistake has been made when AI gets it wrong – the scales of justice further imbalanced.

Even the limitation on automated decision-making using 'special category data' could be sidestepped by relying on the loophole of 'authorised by law' in the UK Data Bill.
The letter warns that "police will be able to conduct ADM without limitation and to conduct ADM involving sensitive data with very few limitations."
Automated decisions could be made in policing "on the basis of their socioeconomic status, regional or postcode data, inferred emotions, or even regional accents."
The UK Data Bill puts marginalised groups at risk of opaque and unfair automated decisions that replicate inherent biases in the data.
The UK Data Use and Access Bill strips away your right to not be subjected to life-changing decisions made solely by AI, apart from where special category data is used.
But, as the letter says, "there are many contexts in which non-special category personal data acts as a proxy for protected characteristics."
The UK Data Bill could unleash unchecked automated decision-making in policing
ORG has signed Big Brother Watch's open letter to warn that removing safeguards could greatly expand "possibilities for bias, discrimination and lack of transparency".
"Art, in other words, is an act of communication – and there you have the problem with AI art. As a writer ... I make tens – if not hundreds – of thousands of tiny decisions that are in service to this business of causing my big, irreducible, numinous feeling to materialize in your mind. Most of those decisions aren't even conscious, but they are definitely decisions, and I don't make them solely on the basis of probabilistic autocomplete."
