Nina Willburger<p>This rare bronze purse was found with six <a href="https://social.anoxinon.de/tags/gold" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>gold</span></a> coins still inside in the <a href="https://social.anoxinon.de/tags/Celtic" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Celtic</span></a> oppidum (settlement) at Manching. It was originally sealed with an organic material, presumably a leather strap. The purse is rather small: 4.3x3.3 cm. Medusa’s head was a popular motif and used to ward off any evil. <br>Antifixes were used to conceal the ends of the tiles that ran along the edge of roofs.
