Thing is, it is different for people in entertainment because entertainment is REALLY important and those involved in it should be exempt from the limits put on us ordinary people - it's surely a worthy sacrifice for us to make for our wonderful celebrities who make our lives so very worthwhile.

The Daily Sceptic · Amanda Holden "Took 28 Flights" for BBC Show Despite Net Zero Pledge – The Daily ScepticAmanda Holden has said that she took 28 flights to Spain during filming for a BBC DIY show, despite the corporation’s Net Zero pledge.

Hallo! An #introduction - I’m Sabrina, a #PublicPolicy student from the US working on #CriticalMinerals and the #EnergyTransition. Here to meet interesting people and also hopefully practice my German (enrolled in B2). I’m a #writer and do #photography and enjoy #hiking. Interested in achieving #NetZero and helping the world prevent severe #ClimateChange. I also like coffee and exploring new places. Same username over on mastodon dot social.

This is Chris Skidmore

He was an MP.

And briefly a Minister

He passed #NetZero into our laws after no proper debate, no vote and no public consultation.

He's not standing again to be an MP

Instead he's running a company advising others on how to hit Net Zero

This stinks!

Estimating #NetZero costs per household;

Heat Pump: £15,000
Electric Vehicle: £40,000
Upgraded National Grid: £15,000

Total (so far) £70,000.

And all to achieve nothing at all

To impoverish our lives and have NO impact on global or local climate

Why are we doing this?

What *you* can do to mitigate #ClimateChange

Bring annual emissions down to near zero - To help as individuals, we’ve got to do everything we can to cut down our use of #FossilFuels (& "biofuels") The report by the #UN #ClimateChange panel #IPCC devotes a chapter to all the ways in which changes in people’s behaviour can accelerate the transition to #NetZero. These changes will need to be backed by major political action on #sustainability at the same time
