Trekhausen (she/her)<p>As a (re) <a href="https://todon.eu/tags/introduction" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>introduction</span></a> on this new server, I have been on Mastodon for a few months (see previous post for why I have moved servers) after not using social media for most of the last 3 years. I wanted to connect with people on Mastodon - and through its decentralised, anarchistic ethos - with similar interests and beliefs, especially after becoming increasingly isolated through having <a href="https://todon.eu/tags/LongCovid" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>LongCovid</span></a> since 2020 where I am now pretty much housebound, the difficulties I have had with communication because of my <a href="https://todon.eu/tags/ObsessiveCompulsiveDisorder" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>ObsessiveCompulsiveDisorder</span></a> alongside living in accordance to the scientific fact that <a href="https://todon.eu/tags/CovidIsNotOver" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>CovidIsNotOver</span></a> and <a href="https://todon.eu/tags/CovidIsAirborne" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>CovidIsAirborne</span></a>. In the brief time I have been on Mastodon I feel very lucky to have connected with the people I have, which has had a positive impact on my mental health and life.
