I've previously noticed that in a lot of sci fi (books/films/games) there seems to be an analogue element to tech of the future, I've always put this down to just the "cool factor" or trying to think outside the box, write an edgy element into the world building, and maybe this is largely all it is, but today I was struck with a new thought... What if it's because in a digitally connected world, analogue mediums are AI resistant and become the only trustworthy source of information? 🤔 Is there a story which explicitly admits this? I think the Dune books comes close but I don't remember them explicitly explaining the analogue element in this way.

Over the last week i've rewritten the #asknostr site's backend to more rapidly, predictably and aggressively refresh notes (replies, likes, zaps) from now over 70 relays.

It was a big rewrite but I learned a lot and am confident that questions will now be up to date more often.

Now this is done i want to get back to some interface improvements like: cashu support, ability to add relays, better note handling, and some kind of leaderboard.

Onwards!

(also, i think my zaps/lud05 is broken, prove me wrong)

⚡️💬 NEWS - Does Bitcoin's 4-year cycle still exist?

That's the big question many analysts are asking....

Historically, Bitcoin moves in four-year cycles where it soars about a year after halving, before its price collapses and a BearMarket phase follows.

But some experts believe that this cycle could be different with the arrival of a new type of investor - ETFs.

Last year, Bitcoin achieved an unprecedented performance by reaching a new ATH BEFORE halving, following the approval of Spot Bitcoin ETFs.

This led some analysts and observers to believe that Bitcoin's usual cycle might be over.

"At the same time, long-term holders realized profit levels comparable to past euphoric phases, reinforcing the impression of an end-of-cycle market," the report points out.

"Every time we think: "This time it's different", it seems the market corrects us and shows us that this time it will be exactly the same"
says Nick Hansen, CEO of Bitcoin mining company Luxor.
