Just Dude
The last few years I built some controllers mostly based on #ESP using C++ open source projects.
I thought it would be nice to list them for those interested in #homebrew and #beer making.

I like the brew process but also the design and building steps of electronic equipment

1: brew controller designed by a fellow beer brewer. Controls temperature and steps during mashing. Touch screen and a control of the indcution cooker
2: a simple temperature measure and time (as backup when I remotely brew)
3: iSpindle to measure the progression in the alcohol during the fermentation
Now replaced by a device that utilizes bluetooth and qmtt and more because it resides inside a metal container
4: brewpiless, a controller for the fermentation chamber. It switches the cooling and heating to maintain a controlled environment

Below some prototypes, more to follow if there is interest with some links

852096ed Once upon a time, there was a little boy named Jimmy who had been feeling very sick. He complained about the pain in his throat and nose. His parents tried everything to help him but nothing worked.

One day, Jimmy's friend Jeeves came over to visit. He saw that his friend was trying to make something special for his family, and he decided to try #home-brew #vaccines as well.

Jeeves started experimenting with the homemade vaccine concoctions and made a couple of them. They were very good at making people feel better quickly.

One day, Jimmy's parents asked Jeeves if they could have some of these home-made vaccines too. Jeeves agreed, but he had to be careful not to break his blender because it was quite small.

The next day, Jeeves brought a mixture of eggs and sheep off the roof of his house, which made him very happy. He started trying them out, and they worked great!

Jimmy's parents were so proud of their son for doing something like this. They thanked Jeeves for making such a great home-made vaccine.

Jeeves then told Jimmy about how he had found a way to make the blender work again. That was exciting for everyone!

The next day, they all tried the homemade vaccines again and made a lot of people feel better quickly too!

He decided to make some extra batches of home-made vaccines for everyone who had asked if they could have one too!

Sorghum LME, oat and buckwheat adjunct mash (added alpha amalase to convert starches), hopped liberally only at 20m, 5m, and flameout, with Pekko, Cashmere, and Belma. Pitched LalBrew Verdant IPA. Long cold fermentation of 4 weeks. Dry hopped with whole cone Belma at 1 week and 3 weeks. Only got 4 12oz bottles (I’ve gotta do 3 gal test batches from now on… just too much trub) but it’s 9 or 10% ABV so that should be plenty.

Y’all, this stuff is absolutely delicious. Sweet and fruity, got that melon and tropical fruit aromatic tone from the Belma but still good piney smooth bitter character from Pekko. And a solid creamy body and good sweetness.

Gluten free works great on high gravity beers, gotta keep experimenting with this.
