Yogthos<p>After Hitler’s armies, the most destructive and lethal blight to hit the peoples of the former Eastern Bloc was not some “communist crime”. Yogthos<p>Liberalism holds the rights of private property as inviolable, thereby placing them beyond public debate. It’s a system that establishes an economic structure where the critical decisions over resources and labor are made by the few who own the means of production. prau<p>"It cannot be denied that Fascism and similar movements aiming at the establishment of dictatorships are full of the best intentions and that their intervention has, for the moment, saved European civilization. The merit that Fascism has thereby won for itself will live on eternally in history. But though its policy has brought salvation for the moment, it is not of the kind which could promise continued success. Fascism was an emergency makeshift. prau<p>"Because of this difference, Fascism will never succeed as completely as Russian Bolshevism in freeing itself from the power of liberal ideas. Only under the fresh impression of the murders and atrocities perpetrated by the supporters of the Soviets were Germans and Italians able to block out the remembrance of the traditional restraints of justice and morality and find the impulse to bloody counteraction. The deeds of the Fascists and of other parties corresponding to them were emotional reflex actions evoked by indignation at the deeds of the Bolsheviks and Communists." — Ludwig von Mises, Liberalism (1927).<br><a href="https://fee.org/ebooks/liberalism-by-ludwig-von-mises/" rel="nofollow noopener" translate="no" target="_blank"><span class="invisible">https://</span><span class="ellipsis">fee.org/ebooks/liberalism-by-l</span><span class="invisible">udwig-von-mises/</span></a><br><a href="https://social.vivaldi.net/tags/socialism" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>socialism</span></a> <a href="https://social.vivaldi.net/tags/mises" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>mises</span></a> <a href="https://social.vivaldi.net/tags/liberalism" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>liberalism</span></a> <a href="https://social.vivaldi.net/tags/fascism" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>fascism</span></a> <a href="https://social.vivaldi.net/tags/capitalism" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>capitalism</span></a> <a href="https://social.vivaldi.net/tags/misesquotes" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>misesquotes</span></a></p>

prau<p>"A society in which liberal principles are put into effect is usually called a capitalist society, and the condition of that society, capitalism. Since the economic policy of liberalism has everywhere been only more or less closely approximated in practice, conditions as they are in the world today provide us with but an imperfect idea of the meaning and possible accomplishments of capitalism in full flower. Nevertheless, one is altogether justified in calling our age the age of capitalism, because all that has created the wealth of our time can be traced back to capitalist institutions. It is thanks to those liberal ideas that still remain alive in our society, to what yet survives in it of the capitalist system, that the great mass of our contemporaries can enjoy a standard of living far above that which just a few generations ago was possible only to the rich and especially privileged." — Ludwig von Mises, Liberalism.<br><a href="https://fee.org/ebooks/liberalism-by-ludwig-von-mises/" rel="nofollow noopener" translate="no" target="_blank"><span class="invisible">https://</span><span class="ellipsis">fee.org/ebooks/liberalism-by-l</span><span class="invisible">udwig-von-mises/</span></a><br><a href="https://social.vivaldi.net/tags/economics" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>economics</span></a> <a href="https://social.vivaldi.net/tags/mises" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>mises</span></a> <a href="https://social.vivaldi.net/tags/liberalism" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>liberalism</span></a> <a href="https://social.vivaldi.net/tags/statism" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>statism</span></a> <a href="https://social.vivaldi.net/tags/capitalism" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>capitalism</span></a> <a href="https://social.vivaldi.net/tags/education" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>education</span></a></p>
