Murdoc Addams 🧛🏻<p>Why is Technocracy important? Why should anyone care about this idea? Because should we decide to implement it, there are a myriad benefits that would be enjoyed by everyone, such as no poverty, no pollution, very little crime, very little disease, free education and health care, economic stability, no politicians or lawyers, and no systemic discrimination (racism, sexism, religious, etc.) to name a few. Sound like a lot? Big claims require big evidence, and Technocracy has it, if you're willing to look. </p><p>But perhaps even more important is the fact that all of our current economic models, collectively called a "price system", have a life cycle, of birth, growth, decline, and death. This has been seen throughout history and can cause a great deal of turmoil. However this iteration of the Price System employs a great deal of technological power, and as such the upcoming collapse will entail unheard of levels of resource depletion, environmental damage, as well as human deaths of virtually every type. It will take centuries, if not longer, to recover from this collapse and even attaining our current standard of living will be far more difficult than it was this time. Our window to employ Technocracy to avoid this disaster will not last long. </p><p>Even other parts of the world would benefit from one area such as North America employing Technocracy, because it would eliminate the economic and political interference and exploitation of those areas.</p><p>So if you have a cause that you support, from social justice, to saving the climate, to economic reform, chances are Technocracy is our best way of handling it. Even if all you want is a better life for yourself and your loved ones, your chances would be much better by using this system.</p><p>3/-</p><p><a href="https://autistics.life/tags/Technocracy" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Technocracy</span></a> <a href="https://autistics.life/tags/technate" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>technate</span></a> <a href="https://autistics.life/tags/SocialJustice" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>SocialJustice</span></a> <a href="https://autistics.life/tags/PostScarcity" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>PostScarcity</span></a> <a href="https://autistics.life/tags/AlternativeEconomics" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>AlternativeEconomics</span></a> <a href="https://autistics.life/tags/ClimateCrisis" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>ClimateCrisis</span></a> <a href="https://autistics.life/tags/Environmentalism" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Environmentalism</span></a> <a href="https://autistics.life/tags/equality" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>equality</span></a> <a href="https://autistics.life/tags/SystemicRacism" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>SystemicRacism</span></a> <a href="https://autistics.life/tags/SystemicSexism" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>SystemicSexism</span></a> <a href="https://autistics.life/tags/UBI" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>UBI</span></a><br><a href="https://autistics.life/tags/transrights" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>transrights</span></a> <a href="https://autistics.life/tags/transrightsarehumanrights" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>transrightsarehumanrights</span></a> <a href="https://autistics.life/tags/humanrights" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>humanrights</span></a></p>
Murdoc Addams 🧛🏻<p>Why is Technocracy important to me? Here's a list: <br>1) First, as a fan of science and technology, the idea of a system that is entirely based on hard science (as opposed to the so-called "political science"), and uses technology to its fullest extent to improve people's lives is a huge plus. Also, it's just such a well designed system. Once you've learned all the parts, and see how they work together, it's a beautiful thing, like an expertly designed machine. </p><p>2) Second, I hate politics. Thankfully, in Technocracy there is no politics, or politicians. No rich, privileged, or other elite running things however they like. Decisions are divided in the objective and the subjective. The former are driven by facts, logic, and science. The latter are left to the individual to decide for themselves. This makes Technocracy more free than any democracy that has ever existed. </p><p>3) Technocracy also has protection for the environment built-in at the most fundamental level, as seen in Technocracy's stated goal: "To provide each citizen with the highest standard of living possible, for the longest period possible." Technocracy was one of the earliest movements promoting environmentalism.</p><p>4) That part of the previously stated goal about "providing each citizen with the highest standard of living" means that everyone gets taken care of. Full consuming privileges from birth to death (somewhat akin to a "guaranteed income"), free education, and free health care. Because I believe that people are at their best and are most able to contribute to society when they are given proper care and support. </p><p>4a) I know such a life would certainly benefit me personally. </p><p>5) Technocracy treats everyone equally, simply because science does not recognize any need to do otherwise. People are only judged by their capacity to do a job, and even then only for determining their qualification for that job. Nothing else matters, like your sex, gender, race, religion, etc. Technocracy was promoting racial and gender equality 100 years ago. </p><p>2/-</p><p><a href="https://autistics.life/tags/Technocracy" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Technocracy</span></a> <a href="https://autistics.life/tags/technate" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>technate</span></a> <a href="https://autistics.life/tags/AlternativeEconomics" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>AlternativeEconomics</span></a> <a href="https://autistics.life/tags/ClimateCrisis" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>ClimateCrisis</span></a> <a href="https://autistics.life/tags/environmentalism" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>environmentalism</span></a> <a href="https://autistics.life/tags/equality" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>equality</span></a> <a href="https://autistics.life/tags/SystemicRacism" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>SystemicRacism</span></a> <a href="https://autistics.life/tags/SystemicSexism" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>SystemicSexism</span></a> <a href="https://autistics.life/tags/UBI" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>UBI</span></a> <a href="https://autistics.life/tags/PostScarcity" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>PostScarcity</span></a></p>
Murdoc Addams 🧛🏻<p>This is the first Appendix to my Introduction. A good way to get to know me is to know what's important to me, and with these I'll introduce those topics and projects that are. They'll remain as pinned posts on my profile so I can refer people to them should the topic ever come up.</p><p>The first and most important thing in my life is something called Technocracy. Most likely you haven't heard of it before, and if by some chance you have, what I am talking about here is most likely not related at all to what you've heard before. So what is it exactly? Keeping in mind that it is a topic large enough that it is normally taught in a study course, and any less than that risks what might be called "Blind Men and the Elephant Syndrome", in short Technocracy is a proposal for a sustainable, post-scarcity economic system. </p><p>To describe how it works, the shortest description would be "Technocracy is a system where machines do all the work people don't want to do." This is of course a big oversimplification, but it gets the essential point across, and that is that our society has reached a point, technologically speaking, where most work is obsolete. And our continued attempts to maintain an economic system that requires human labor is not only holding us back from a better future, but is indeed making things worse. That is why an essential part of Technocracy is to separate a person's labor from their ability to consume. Only by doing this can we let machines do what they do best, and free the rest of us to pursue better lives for everyone. As for how exactly it accomplishes this, there's more to it than can be put in any social media post. Anyone interested in learning more can visit www.technate.org and/or talk to me about it. I'll also be posting more about it from time to time here. </p><p>1/-</p><p><a href="https://autistics.life/tags/Technocracy" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Technocracy</span></a> <a href="https://autistics.life/tags/technate" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>technate</span></a> <a href="https://autistics.life/tags/SpecialInterest" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>SpecialInterest</span></a> <a href="https://autistics.life/tags/PostScarcity" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>PostScarcity</span></a> <a href="https://autistics.life/tags/AlternativeEconomics" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>AlternativeEconomics</span></a> <a href="https://autistics.life/tags/introduction" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>introduction</span></a></p>
