Being in NC, I remember her from the Covid lockdown days. I've wondered where she is now.
I didn't know she was made the new CDC Director.
Pretty fitting that someone from NC would have been 'honored' to move up the ladder in their career to CDC Director.
In NC we had the University of NC and Ralph Baric involved in gain-of-function. We have a Dem. Governor who was installed not elected and then we had Mandy Cohen keeping our elderly alone and isolated, as well as school children.
It's chilling to me to listen to her so cavalierly talking about how she made her decisions.
The myopic arrogance of these people is mindblowing, isn't it?
Add to that their attitude of entitlement and we get the very "leaders" we have at the moment.
Trump kept telling everyone to think for themselves.
That's the LAST thing these people want.
I've wondered if any of the people who at the height of Covid 19 made lockdown decisions have been haunted by the affect those decisions had in people's lives. From listening to this clip - that's a definite NO in regard to Mandy Cohen.
It's all laughs and giggles to her.
If even ONE of that group would come out and admit their mistake, and share with us how they've been wrong, and it haunts them, I think most people would forgive and move on.
But "heels dug in" won't help anybody, including those who pushed the lie.
