evangelicals tied themself into pretzels about God and his imperfect instruments to embrace Trump. you'd think reconciling themself to Musk, with his transhumanist polymaternal marriage-less natalism, would be a especial challenge. but for now, there's no evidence they're having a hard time of it.

David was a serial adulterer, Moses murdered someone. Noah drank himself into a stupor. Peter was crass, impulsive and impetuous. It goes on and on. There is no pretzling necessary.
You are using a strawman argument in regard to evangelicals.
@Phil i have a friend who basically, and painfully, left evangelicalism because he couldn’t reconcile the support of his church for Trump with the values his family and church had always claimed to stand for. maybe some evangelicals are more reconciled to cynically using values claims only against political opponents, while finding an infinite reserve of grace for perceived allies. but #NotAllEvangelicals
@interfluidity or maybe just being an evangelical Christian doesn't exempt somebody from Trump Derangement Syndrome or automatically provide the discernment to see how much evil democrats are foisting on us all.
