It had no effect on me… that is as far as building my faith. Obviously.

Let’s read a passage in Ephesians 4:17–19. After having this background that I’ve told you, you will perhaps understand how this passage hits me personally every time I read it.

One day, out of the blue, the design of everything in creation became obvious.

If a wristwatch or even the simplest mousetrap require a designer and builder, so does a single cell of any type. So does every component of that single cell. So does the perfect arrangement of the solar system to sustain life on earth. So do the ecosystems...

The migration patterns of animals can’t be explained by anything other than design. They all have a designed purpose. This is obvious for those who will recognize it.

Let’s read another passage. Again, it should be clear why this one is very meaningful to me (Romans 1:19-20):

“for God made it evident to them. For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes...

So, as I speak about these things, I’m not theorizing how it might be for some others. I’m speaking from personal experience. The experience of having rejected God to full-blown KNOWING He, His Son, and His Holy Spirit...

So, what does this have to do with Bible study? Am I discounting the Bible’s importance? Absolutely not!

Before I studied the Bible, I was only aware that there IS a designer. And I had concluded with CERTAINTY His existence, this One I called God. But “WHO is this God,” was the question. What is His nature? Does He know I’m here?...

IS the Designer and Creator of all things. I have sound reasons that led me to believe in THIS God. And that He is the only God. Ask me if you're interested.

I want you to imagine the joy that came over me the moment I realized that this Grand Designer… Almighty Creator… knew me personally. And cares about me… personally. So much so that He put on flesh and died for me...

And that He lives inside of me now. This very moment.

So, as we learn about the nature of God through reading His Word, don’t think of it as “studying.” Soak in who God is. And how this One True God loves and cares for you… personally. This should be an absolute JOY to experience.

I'll start with Genesis 1 and 2 tomorrow.
