Wikipedia about the Washington Monument:

"In the lower third, marble from Baltimore County, Maryland, followed by a narrow zone of marble from Sheffield, Massachusetts, and, in the upper part, the so-called Cockeysville Marble."

What it doesn't say is that the MD Grand Lodge of Freemason's HQ, established in 1787, is in Cockeysville. None of this is proof, but connections are interesting, and I'm having a hard time believing it's a conspiracy theory.

@Java I don't know what you're theorizing, but the obelisk in St. Peter's is WAY older than the freemasons (I think it's significantly older than the church too).

@jforseth210 That's fine. I'm talking about the conspiracy theories of certain groups. Illuminati, Freemasons, Jesuits, Skull and Bones. Stuff like that.

Certain symbols are used pretty much universally throughout the halls of power, e.g. the fasces, the eagle, and the laurel leaves.

It has been suggested that the ruling elites in every modern country consider themselves citizens of Rome, and they are governed by laws, courts, etc which are kept completely hidden from the layman. Countries as we know them are in essence "colonies" of this hidden empire.

X (formerly Twitter)Dennis (@SH37363543) on XFasces is a bound bundle of wooden rods, sometimes including an axe with its blade emerging. Wooden rods & axe represents field and house slaves respectively, both are bound together by collectivism.

@cjd It's interesting to look at. It's like a whole other culture. @jforseth210
