A little #review for Rogue Protocol, the 3rd book of the #Murderbot series!
A little #review for Rogue Protocol, the 3rd book of the #Murderbot series!
Just discovered Murderbot, in which Alexander Skarsgård plays a security drone who's hacked the module that makes it obey humans.
It's sent on duty with a group of hippies from an anarchist planet, and tries to make sense of how they relate to each other. While trying to keep them safe and avoid revealing it's "gone rogue".
(1/2)
I just finished #RogueProtocol, the 3rd book of #TheMurderbotDiaries!
This one was full of action stuff, really entertaining, but the chapters were so long that even though it didn't matter at all my brain was lazy and didn't want to finish it, but I pushed through and enjoyed it a lot.
I also finished #AllSystemsRed, the first book of #TheMurderbotDiaries
Quite a good quick read I must say :P
@agenderfox @bookstodon Aha thanks for looking it up!
Although I suppose that leaves the possibility that Preservation-standard cycles are different from cycles in the Corporate Rim or elsewhere... but I suppose it'd be odd for them to be day-like in one spot and week-like elsewhere
@agenderfox @bookstodon I had been thinking of cycles as similar to days, but like artificial standard space days instead of being pegged to any particular planet's rotational period. I seem to remember at some point it said a cycle was 28 "standard hours" or something like that. But I'm not sure.
Okay, if you haven't seen this murderbot fanfic that is also a fully playable game of minesweeper, you're really missing out:

Book 9 was Artificial Condition by Martha Wells.
I love getting to know everyone’s favourite Sec Unit all over again. Plus … ART.

Just finished System Collapse, a #murderbot book, and it is a joyful fast read as always. Now I'm wondering which other book of Martha Wells I can get into, something similar to Murderbot. I tried the Raksura stories but perhaps I was expecting something like Murderbot, so I didn't get into that series. Any recommendations?
@SFFMagazineCovers Can't a #Murderbot be left to watch its serials in peace!?

Sigh.
Tomorrow, July 10th at 9pm EDT, will be the airing of the last Season 1 episode of #Murderbot.
This makes me sad because they have not yet (hopefully!) announced if there will be a Season 2.
But remember there is a new Murderbot story to read!! Hooray!!

Listening to the murderbot diaries on my boneconducting audio input during work like it's Sanctuary Moon...
I just binge watched the first 6 episodes of #Murderbot in what feels like 19 minutes...
I’m only two episodes in, but I’m in. I think it is only partly comedy, but that is a quibble. #Murderbot
