Is there a way in #Linux to mount a DOS disk that was compressed with DoubleSpace? The 40MB hard drive that was in my Toshiba T5200 was compressed that way and I was able to ddrescue it back in November, but all I found on the DOS partition was a great big 39.9MB file called DBLSPACE.000.

Today's kids don't know that, back in the 1990s, the units in apartment buildings usually had only one telephone landline socket near the entrance. Since we used our PC in a bedroom often at the opposite end of the apartment, when we needed dial-up Internet access we had to run a roll-up extension cable through most of the apartment to connect the modem in the PC room to the phone socket. Every single time.

I deliberately did not clean up the terminal to make it look like it's shiny and was just used.

This terminal has been sitting idle for more than 40 years! It should look this way, Dusty old, unused almost forgotten

I have it in case I would get a kernel panic where I could only get troubleshooting information via the rs232c serial port

Are you excitable {Def Leppard}?
Do you love Amber (not Orange) monitors? Do you love the feel of CRT radiation right at your brains?

Do you love the color of a Wise terminal running at 80 by 25 columns?

I have a photograph for you, of a functioning 80x25 Wise serial terminal, a terminal so old, even in the year when we set up the internet in my country, it was considered super unique and ancient.

Are you ready for it?

Ta-da!

Added the start of a high score table. There are four steps in a high score table:
- load it
- figure if player has a spot in it
- ask them their name
- save it.

I've started with step three because I felt like it and also because it's easier to do steps 3 and 4 so I have data for step 1 and 2.
