@melmc I grew up on the Gulf of Mexico, but I like The Gulf of America. Everything it touches is America, North or South. And besides, it makes a statement.
@melmc if i remember correctly this all stemmed from Biden recently banning any offshore drilling in the gulf of mexico- so renaming it was born from that. but i didn't dig deeply - few weeks ago.
