Every Thanksgiving, you'll find me in the kitchen, starting on Wednesday morning.
This year, my "chef's hat" will honor the WKRP "First Annual Turkey Drop."
Loved the show WKRP in Cincinnati !
Did you know about the annual Turkey Trot festival in Yellville, AR, where they actually dropped turkeys from an airplane? If you caught a bird you got to keep it. Other activities include a turkey calling contest and Miss Drumsticks pageant/competition; contestants judged on their legs.

@Ashley @CDuBois We came here from Silicon Valley in the summer of 1980. We drove around to little towns, looking for where it felt right. We drove across a Y bridge into a tiny Ozark town with a brick courthouse in the central square and a group of shirtless men in overalls chatting on the lawn of the courthouse. It was like a Norman Rockwell painting. We stayed, our kids raced box turtles at the county fair and caught a piglet and a guinea in contests. I still love Stone County, Missouri.
I had NO IDEA, but I love it!!
When PETA became aware, they got their feathers ruffled and made a stink.
PETA is like every other "progressive" agency - total bullshit.
They were outed a few years ago for rounding up cats/dogs and killing them.
I abhor that org.
