Building soil and community all year round!

The mainstream wants us divided, it would seem. I want us connected.

Im grateful for my neighbors, including folks with different values.

Enough of us find ways to support each other, sometimes small things, sometimes big gestures to make this community special.

I'm learning, expanding and loving as I go.

Hi all, I've just setup my own #Akkoma instance, so it's time for an updated #introduction
I promise I won't move accounts again and I'll keep @kedara as a backup.

I'm very much into #yoga and #meditation and everything related to that. I'm trying to learn #Sanskrit because its a beautiful language and also in order to be able to read text like the #BhagavadGita #Upanishads #YogaSutras which greatly inspire me.

I'm from the #Netherlands and work in #science in the field of #AirQuality I may occasionally share something about that, but this is not a work account (and any opinions are my own).

I love #photography , mostly related to #nature #weather #clouds #trees
I try to make a trip to the #forest at least every weekend, I'm lucky to live at the edge of the #Veluwe nature area.

I love growing food in my #garden using #organic #permaculture and #RegenerativeAgriculture inspired methods, I'm dreaming of tending my own #FoodForest some day.

Unfortunately I'm operating at half power thanks to #LongCovid since Feb. '22.

I'll mainly post in English with some posts in Dutch as well. Unpinned toots will be deleted after 3 months, I only boost photos with alt text (feel free to let me know if I've forgotten to add it!).

Third winter after applying the bone sauce to the unguarded trees both fruit producers a plum and a serviceberry. Four years ago the muntjac deer damaged the serviceberry so it was a favourite of his and you can see it's healing up nicely now.

Perhaps not suprisingly Sepp Holzer is right this stuff lasts for years possibly up to multiple decades after application.

Just so you know the deer is still lurking around the garden, he is eating all the herbaceous flowers instead! The sneaky bastard.

Its been one of those days where there hasnt been enough hours... 😱
But the update from this morning is the ground stakes will end up being about a meter apart which means the grapevine will get moved.
The old posts are trimmed and de-nailed and the ends are currently soaking in some old engine oil. They go 8n the above ground socket bit of the stakes so shouldn't contaminate the soil.
And another if many fence posts are dry fitted in, just waiting for some more rain.
That and other odd jobs means a morning well spent.
