I think it's time for a re-introduction!

Hello fediverse! I am an admin for Veganism.Social, VoIP engineer, sim-racer with @ethixracing, gamer, foodie, and long-time ethical vegan. I'm originally from South Florida, but now living in the Orlando area as of 2020. I'm usually not a very social person, but I'm trying to change that! I want to make a difference in the world, and one person cannot do that alone, so connecting with others is essential.

My political and ethical views are all centered around equality, compassion, and environmental protection. I am anti-capitalist, but I also understand that it's impossible in the current state of society to avoid participating in it. So I try to make the best decisions I can with the options given to me in order to minimize the harm it causes.

Humans and animals all over the world are facing troubling times, and thinking about it has taken a massive toll on my mental health. Now, I am trying to focus my efforts on things that I can change, rather than spreading myself too thin and not helping at all. This doesn't mean I'm ignoring all of the other suffering, but simply trying to prioritize based on what is within my reach.

Thank you for taking the time to read, and if you feel like we have something in common, give a follow! I look forward to meeting like-minded individuals and organizations that seek to make the world a better place!

For a bit more info about myself and my sim-racing efforts, check out this interview I did with @veganeasy last year.

Happy International Women’s Day! Today, we celebrate the power of unity, equality, and the struggle for women's rights. Inspired by the spirit of collectivism and solidarity, this banner reflects the strength of workers and the fight for a better future. Also, a special shoutout—it’s my birthday today! Grateful to share this day with a movement that stands for justice and empowerment. Solidarity forever! #IWD #Equality #WorkersUnite

"You just want everyone to be poor and miserable!" is what capitalism apologists say (with zero sense of irony). Nope, they're either uninformed or lying--and I seriously urge you to go with "lying" as the default, in order to reduce the potential for mischief by bad actors.

"Empirical research points therefore to an important conundrum. On the one hand, high-income countries achieve high levels of human wellbeing but significantly overshoot their fair share of planetary boundaries. The level of resource use of these high-income countries cannot be universalised. On the other hand, despite a decline in the amount of energy required to achieve human development goals, modelling decent living standards for all within planetary boundaries shows that, under existing conditions, there is very little room for excess or for inequality.
This research has led to a shift of attention towards alternative provisioning systems and the types of distributional dynamics that could radically change current relationships between resource use and human wellbeing... A recent review of industrial transformation models and scenarios found that combined supply-side and demand-side measures could reduce current economy-wide material use by 56%, energy use by 40–60%, and greenhouse gas emissions by 70% to net zero."

We regretfully have good reasons to not trust these companies with upholding our #humanrights or the values of #freedom and #equality any longer.

Even the platform I am writing this document on, #Google, owned by Alphabet inc, might choose any day to simply erase it or make links to it become unresponsive, no doubt claiming “mistake” or “glitch” but never returning my calls.

I posted this earlier, but I did the wrong hashtag. So, I’m posting it again with the right one. 🙄🙃

I’m brand new to this type of platform. I’m not extremely tech savvy, but I’m a very quick study. #TikTok was the place I could find real information and not the spoon fed mainstream propaganda. With the shutdown that just happened and TikTok coming back online the next day, there’s probably something nefarious happening with the platform and I trust it even less now. I didn’t know where to find real news and information until I saw @Iancarroll post on TikTok. I believe in #free speech, #equality, and #resistance. I’m looking for like minded individuals and people that have information on how to resist the oligarchy in the United States.

1. Reality is the only morality. I reject all symbolism and emotion.
2. I know good people from every religion, tribe, race, culture, ethnicity, and social class. To protect each group, ethno-nationalism is required.
3. All of our environmental problems can be cured through Half Earth.
4. Natural Rights > (human | civil rights).
5. Eugenics is necessary to ensure genetic health.
6. People need some positive transcendent goal or they are merely reacting to fears and appetites.

Why is Technocracy important? Why should anyone care about this idea? Because should we decide to implement it, there are a myriad benefits that would be enjoyed by everyone, such as no poverty, no pollution, very little crime, very little disease, free education and health care, economic stability, no politicians or lawyers, and no systemic discrimination (racism, sexism, religious, etc.) to name a few. Sound like a lot? Big claims require big evidence, and Technocracy has it, if you're willing to look.

But perhaps even more important is the fact that all of our current economic models, collectively called a "price system", have a life cycle, of birth, growth, decline, and death. This has been seen throughout history and can cause a great deal of turmoil. However this iteration of the Price System employs a great deal of technological power, and as such the upcoming collapse will entail unheard of levels of resource depletion, environmental damage, as well as human deaths of virtually every type. It will take centuries, if not longer, to recover from this collapse and even attaining our current standard of living will be far more difficult than it was this time. Our window to employ Technocracy to avoid this disaster will not last long.

Even other parts of the world would benefit from one area such as North America employing Technocracy, because it would eliminate the economic and political interference and exploitation of those areas.

So if you have a cause that you support, from social justice, to saving the climate, to economic reform, chances are Technocracy is our best way of handling it. Even if all you want is a better life for yourself and your loved ones, your chances would be much better by using this system.

Why is Technocracy important to me? Here's a list:
1) First, as a fan of science and technology, the idea of a system that is entirely based on hard science (as opposed to the so-called "political science"), and uses technology to its fullest extent to improve people's lives is a huge plus. Also, it's just such a well designed system. Once you've learned all the parts, and see how they work together, it's a beautiful thing, like an expertly designed machine.

2) Second, I hate politics. Thankfully, in Technocracy there is no politics, or politicians. No rich, privileged, or other elite running things however they like. Decisions are divided in the objective and the subjective. The former are driven by facts, logic, and science. The latter are left to the individual to decide for themselves. This makes Technocracy more free than any democracy that has ever existed.

3) Technocracy also has protection for the environment built-in at the most fundamental level, as seen in Technocracy's stated goal: "To provide each citizen with the highest standard of living possible, for the longest period possible." Technocracy was one of the earliest movements promoting environmentalism.

4) That part of the previously stated goal about "providing each citizen with the highest standard of living" means that everyone gets taken care of. Full consuming privileges from birth to death (somewhat akin to a "guaranteed income"), free education, and free health care. Because I believe that people are at their best and are most able to contribute to society when they are given proper care and support.

4a) I know such a life would certainly benefit me personally.

5) Technocracy treats everyone equally, simply because science does not recognize any need to do otherwise. People are only judged by their capacity to do a job, and even then only for determining their qualification for that job. Nothing else matters, like your sex, gender, race, religion, etc. Technocracy was promoting racial and gender equality 100 years ago.
