#Trump on Thurs again raised the prospect of serving for an #unconstitutional 3rd term asking a crowd at a WH event whether he should run again & receiving audience chants of “4 more years!”
Trump’s escalating rhetoric stoked further alarm among critics who say he is governing w/an #authoritarian playbook & fear he could attempt to seize #power undemocratically, as he attempted to do after losing the 2020 election. The #Constitution’s 22nd Amendment limits presidents from holding the office >2X.
Any injunction or contempt order that #BigHands, the white house, the executive branch or elon ignores means America IS an #authoritarian state. Right now.
If the rulings are unenforced, unenforceable, or ignored, it's a fascist state.
And it's been there already for a couple days this week.

…#Trump’s 2024 election effort was more a #disinformation crusade than a conventional political campaign—a natural outgrowth of his peddling of the #BigLie about the prior presidential election. The falsehoods served him well & protected him from the accurate charge that he imperiled #democracy.
…So the #authoritarian virus that Trump represents has reinfected the political body. This time it’s worse. He has made clear his autocratic intent, with much of it spelled out in #Project2025.
When informed that his VP, Mike Pence, who had refused #Trump’s entreaties to thwart the certification, was in danger from the rioters, Trump replied, “So what?”
This may be old news. But it defines the gravity of this moment. The #authoritarian-minded Trump who nearly blew up the most powerful democracy in modern history is again being handed the keys to the republic. It’s as if the American political system has a death wish. It could not neutralize this threat from within.
You may recall four years ago this date, 6th January 2021, a Trumpian mob storming into the Capitol of the United States of America. Expect worse underway now, in many ways.

Quick reply, depends on who we consider fascist.
But the lower levels of fascism which I think is everywhere (and overlooked by those asking) consider these examples and let me know what you think os my take on it as it's not always people in black boots or militia as we know today:
EXAMPLE
As example below and more prevalent at lower level + back by #state and other subsidiary #companies:
I think my mum was fascist of various sorts:
- over-cleaning and too sterile
+ didn't know what to do otherwise with herself
- a bit of a #Hitler reaction when challenged (like "measurably you did this 5 hours ago and almost not been here much ever since) but #no room for #choice
+ and even aggressive or more provokable
+ #psychological #questions were there (didn't know what else to do but take this position of #cleaning etc / #monowork / #workaholism / non #diversity
+ she was using spray guns (like real #guns on people) but even the friendly is prossibele #bacteria)
+ #chemicals were bought by the trolley load and fund pollution and even #climatechange with #sprays etc
+ toxic stuff created by SmithKleinBeecham etc which are #polluting things and #toxic to #earth / nature and #habitat as #planet
+ few other things that touches on similar #fascism which is more strictly #state backed / #government #authoritarian #hierarchy
